This was my more traditional KPMG chapter.

I worked on finance systems, cloud projects, and change inside large companies trying to update important parts of the business without breaking everything around them.

Two projects sum it up pretty well:

• a gas and utilities client where I worked on a OneStream finance system to help close the books faster each month
• a global paint company moving toward a new AI-heavy receivables tool, where I worked on the people side and helped teams shift roles and adapt to a new workflow

More than anything, that work taught me how very large organizations actually run:

• decisions move across a lot of teams, time zones, and stakeholders
• simple changes are usually not simple once they touch real systems
• most big transformations are as much about coordination as technology
• new tools only work if people understand them and change how they work
