Before KPMG ventures studio, there was a more classic KPMG chapter.

This was the big-company side: finance systems, process change, implementation work, and the slower job of helping large companies update without breaking themselves.

That chapter matters because it taught me how big companies behave when they are trying to change in real life.

You see:

• how much change is really coordination
• where incentives slow things down
• what breaks first when systems get large

The ventures chapter makes more sense because this one came right before it.
